Memasuki awal agustus, bulannya perayaan untuk Indonesia, merdeka! Begitu ujarnya. Tentunya membuat dimana seluruh warga desa sibuk menyambut bulan ini, rangka memeriahkan HUT RI Ke 71 ini. Terutama Desa Nusantara sekarang, sibuk sejak sebelum agustus. Terutama ibu-ibu PKK, sudah di sibukkan dengan mengisi data buku dasawisma yang sampai sekarang belum selesai juga. Hingga program TOGA (Tanaman Obat Keluarga) dari ibu-ibu PKK. Nantinya desa Nusantara akan mengikuti lomba desa se kecamatan Air Sugihan, anggota PKK membawa dan menanam jenis tumbuhan obat-obatan yang di tanam di halaman kantor Desa Nusantara.
